Holly L. Duke
Director, Leadership & Engagement
Holly Duke joined the Ron Brown Scholar Program in 2013 as the Director of Leadership and Engagement. She has built a career around serving high-achieving college students and alumni. After earning a M.S. of Rehabilitation Psychology from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in 2002, Holly worked in the UNC Career Center for two years as a Career Counselor before moving to Duke University in 2004. After five years as a career counselor and academic advisor with Duke, Holly worked with University of Virginia School of Law as Director of Career Counseling where she provided counseling services and managed on-grounds recruiting.
Prior to her career in higher education, Holly managed a Welfare-to-Work program in a rural area of North Carolina and served in Americorps addressing food security issues in low-income communities in Knoxville, TN. She has a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. In the community, Holly serves as the Board Chair of The Alyssa House, a Charlottesville organization providing housing to children and their families receiving long-term care at UVA Children’s Hospital.
