GPS Program Assistant
Liza has worked in the field of higher education and college counseling for the past ten years. Her passion for working closely with students originated from her first professional experience as Admissions Coordinator for International House, a non-profit organization of the Rockefeller Foundation in New York City. After three years of admissions experience, she made her transition to the Undergraduate Admissions Office at New York University in 2009, where she worked in several roles including Manager of the Admissions Welcome Center, Admissions Counselor, and Senior Assistant of International Admissions. During her five years at NYU, Liza earned her Master’s degree from Steinhardt in Higher Education and Student Affairs and her teaching certificate from the School of International Training in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL). From 2014-2016, Liza lived overseas in Surrey, England working as a college counselor for TASIS England, an international American boarding school. It was here that she further developed her passion for working directly with students as they navigate the complexities of the college application process.
