Mary L. Snitch
Mary L. Snitch has been with Lockheed Martin Corporation in the Washington, DC area since 1990. She manages external corporate activities with US and international associations and key research universities for Lockheed Martin’s Corporate Engineering, Technology and Operations (CETO) organization, Bethesda, MD. Her 35-year professional career began with the U.S. Department of State and the Arms Control and Disarmament Agency. She joined the private aerospace sector In 1983 with TRW and in 1985 joined the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, CA as Manager, Legislative and International Affairs.
Mary is very active in aerospace and education activities directly related to her position with Lockheed Martin and also as a volunteer. In May 2013 she assumed the AIAA Board position of VP, Public Policy, and is a Fellow in AIAA. She is an elected Member of the International Academy of Astronautics and a Corporate Member of the International Astronautical Federation. Mary serves on the University of Maryland Aerospace Engineering Advisory Board, and serves on the Board of Trustees for the Ron Brown Scholarship Program. She Is a 18-year member of Achievement Rewards for College Scientists (ARCS) Foundation, and Past ARCS National President.
Mary received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at George Mason University Fairfax, Virginia, and her Masters of Business Administration in Business, Economics and Public Policy at George Washington University. She and her husband, Dr Thomas Snitch, live in Bethesda, Maryland.
